NRW Mining
As a versatile contractor, NRW Mining Services provides contract services to mining companies and has extensive experience in developing mines in remote locations.
Significant works have been undertaken in the iron ore, gold and mineral sand sectors. Services provided include waste stripping, surface and underground haulage, crusher feeding and related ancillary services.
Other services include excavation of mine overburden, drill and blast, waste dump management services, in-pit works including pre-development pit establishment, waste pre-stripping, waste cutback and remnant ore mining.
Christmas Creek Mining
This contract mining operation at FMG's Christmas Creek Mine commenced in February 2009 and is worth an estimated $40 million per annum.
Simandou
This contract mining operation for Simfer SA (a wholly owned subsidiary of Rio Tinto) is located in Simandou, Guinea, West Africa and is worth an approximate $30 million per annum.
Bootu Creek
This mining contract for OM Holdings is at Bootu Creek Manganese Mine in the Northern Territory, 850 kilometres south east of Darwin and is worth an approximate $60 million per annum.
Cloudbreak Mine
This contract mining operation at FMG's Cloudbreak Mine included miscellaneous material movement and equipment hire.
Hope Downs South Prestrip and Mining
Valued at approximately $60 million, NRW's Rio Tinto contract for the delivery of prestrip and initial mining at Hope Downs South ore body commenced in January 2008.
Yandi JSE Prestrip
This 9 month contract for Rio Tinto, valued at approximately $36 million, commenced in August 2006 and was for the Yandi Junction South East Expansion mine.
Tom Price Mine
NRW provide the Development Fleet for Rio Tinto at the Tom Price Mine site at a contract valued at approximately $18 million per annum.
