PROJECT SUMMARY

The construction of a new sealed access road to both Rio Tinto's and BHP Billiton's Mines was completed under traffic. Comprising earthworks of over 50 kilometres long, the access road also crossed over the top of a number of significant creeks and as such, precautionery measures against flooding and the wet season were undertaken and additional monitoring introduced.
