Chairman — Ian Burston

Ian’s career includes former positions as Managing Director of Portman Limited, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Aurora Gold Ltd, Chief Executive Officer of Kalgoorlie Consolidated Gold Mines Pty Ltd, Vice President – WA Business Development of CRA Ltd and Managing Director of Hamersley Iron Pty Ltd.

Ian has a Bachelor of Engineering (Mech) degree from Melbourne University and a Diploma in Aeronautical Engineering from Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology. He has completed the Insead Management Course in Paris and the Harvard Advanced Management Program in Boston.He was awarded the Western Australian Citizen of the Year (category of Industry and Commerce) in 1992, the Order of Australia (General Division) in 1993 and an Honorary Doctor of Science (Curtin) in 1995.

Chief Executive Officer — Julian Pemberton

Jules joined NRW in 1997 and held the positions of Operations Manager and General Manager before being appointed as Chief Operations Officer in 2000. AS COO, Jules held responsibility for Company financial management issues, contracts, client negotiation, acquisitions and general business development.

Jules was appointed as Chief Executive Officer of NRW Holdings in 2010, replacing the outgoing and founding CEO. As a young, forward thinking, dynamic leader with a strategic business mindset, Jules is well positioned to take NRW into the next phase of its growth.
 

Non Executive Director — Michael Arnett

Michael Arnett is a consultant to and former partner of and member of the Board of Directors and national head of the Natural Resources Business Unit of the law firm Deacons. Michael has been involved in significant corporate and commercial legal work for the resource industry for over 20 years.
